bandwidth usage monitor in ubuntu

Download BMW-ng_0.5+cvs2005022701_i386.deb in http://old-releases.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/pool/universe/b/bwm-ng/bwm-ng_0.5+cvs2005022701_i386.deb or in a local repo.

live your download is complete install via terminal

sudo dpkg -i bwm-ng_0.5+cvs2005022701_i386.deb

installation completed and still in the terminal, well now you can open up new applications and please go to the BMW-ng

$ BMW-ng
-----
there will bring up the bandwidth usage statistics for device lo, eth0, ppp0 or eth1 depending on the attached network.
